WARRANTY CLAIM SUBMISSION
To submit a claim, a copy of this warranty and a copy of the Owner’s sales agreement must be submitted in writing by mail to Windows on Washington Ltd. at 23465 Rock Haven Way, Suite 120, Dulles, Virginia 20166, along with a brief explanation of the claim. Claims must be submitted to Windows on Washington Ltd. promptly after discovery of the defect and within the applicable warranty period. Windows on Washington Ltd. will then schedule an appointment to inspect the premises within a reasonable period of time after having received the claim. If, after the inspection, Windows on Washington Ltd. determines that a valid claim exists under one or more of the warranties, Windows on Washington Ltd. will repair, reinstall, replace or refund the purchase price of the failing product or service, solely at Windows on Washington Ltd.’s option.
If Windows on Washington Ltd. determines to replace any or all products, and if such products as originally installed are no longer available, Windows on Washington Ltd., shall have the right to substitute a product(s) designated by Windows on Washington Ltd. to be of equal quality. Replacement of a product or component does not renew the warranty period. Minor color variations may exist between replacement product and the originally installed product and are not indicative of a defective product. Screens that are damaged within 90 days of the date of installation will be repaired or replaced at the sole discretion of Windows on Washington Ltd. If, at Windows on Washington Ltd.’s option, a purchase price refund is conveyed to the Owner, then all warranties are terminated, and repair, replacement, or removal of Windows on Washington Ltd.’s products shall become the sole responsibility of the Owner. No warranties are valid unless and until the Owner has made full payment under the original Windows on Washington Ltd. sales agreement and all addenda thereto. Non-warranty calls for repair, adjustment or product failure identification may result in a service charge.
WHAT IS NOT COVERED
Windows on Washington Ltd. grants these warranties to the Owner only and only materials purchased from and installed by Windows on Washington Ltd. are covered by these warranties. All warranties terminate immediately upon the transfer of home ownership, unless the terms of transfer are met (see “How to Transfer These Warranties”). All warranties assume normal and reasonable use of Windows on Washington Ltd.-‐installed products or components. Minor color or textural variations from lot to lot of product are not product or installation defects. These warranties do not cover any other damage, workmanship or material failure including, but not limited to, damage caused by occurrences beyond the control of Windows on Washington Ltd., such as the settlement of the building, failure of the structure (including foundation and walls), use of incompatible accessories, removal, repair, or re-installation of any Windows on Washington Ltd.-installed products or components by other than Windows on Washington Ltd., normal weathering, corrosive effects of salt air and chemical pollutants, normal fading, deterioration of caulking compounds, abuse, fire, flood, lightning, high winds, windblown objects, earthquakes, ons, deterioration, infestation, mold, fungus or bacteria resulting from any failures, delayed or improper repair. These warranties also will not apply to damages resulting from the failure to provide reasonable maintenance, including caulking as reasonably necessary and failure to clean the product. These warranties do not apply to damages due to or arising from the identification, detection, abatement, encapsulation or removal of mold, asbestos, lead based products or other hazardous substances inside or outside of the structure being improved.
Accidental Glass Breakage Warranty excludes the following: shape windows, palladian windows, tempered, laminated or obscure glass, sliding glass door glass, entry door glass and 3rd party damage.
Windows on Washington Ltd. is not responsible for condensation that may form on a window resulting from pre-existing conditions in the Owner’s home and/or environmental conditions such as external temperatures and humidity levels. Reducing the humidity in the home will often remedy any condensation problems.

HOW TO TRANSFER THESE WARRANTIES
