See What Our Clients Have to Say
At Windows on Washington, we’ve spent the last 2 decades being obsessed with client experience and satisfaction. With more 5-star reviews than any other contractor in our area, we are proud of the feedback we’ve received as a result of our dedication to ethical business practices, our consistent quality of work, and our exemplary client support.
They kept in touch with us every step of the process, we never felt like we had been forgotten. The windows came in sooner they they had quoted, and they worked with our tight schedules to get the install scheduled at a time that worked for us.
So a little over a week ago we had new windows installed in our home by Windows on Washington. What a fantastic experience! They kept in touch with us every step of the process, we never felt like we had been forgotten. The windows came in sooner they they had quoted, and they worked with our tight schedules to get the install scheduled at a time that worked for us. The day the installers came, they too, kept in touch when they knew they might be later than expected. They finished everything by end of the business day and when they left you could not tell they had been here other than the beautiful new windows!! They cleaned up and left everything neat and tidy. We highly recommend Windows on Washington if this is something you are wanting to do for your home. On a side note, thanks to Zach Wince for all your help and guidance through out the whole process!!!
Everyone at WoW went above and beyond, and exceeded my already high expectations. Our house is now warmer, quieter, and looks so much better!
I highly recommend Windows on Washington for window and door replacement. We had all 10 of the original wood windows and 2 aluminum sliding glass doors in our 1986 townhouse replaced earlier this month, and couldn't be happier. Brandon Shonebarger was a pleasant, straightforward sales representative who patiently answered our many questions during his in-home visit and afterwards. We liked the quality of the Okna windows and doors he recommended, and decided to bet on WoW's reputation for stellar service. Young Kim, the project manager, and his team of installers worked efficiently to complete the job in a day. They were courteous, careful not to damage anything in the house, and cleaned up thoroughly when they were done. Kim is a master craftsman who did a superb job of capping the trim over a half-round window, something that other window replacement contractors told us couldn't be done. WoW's President Eric Novotny even stopped by in the afternoon and helped to install a barrier railing outside a sliding glass door, an "extra" we'd requested. Everyone at WoW went above and beyond, and exceeded my already high expectations. Our house is now warmer, quieter, and looks so much better!
WOW was a truly great experience all-around, hands-down.
WOW was a truly great experience all-around, hands-down. We replaced 19 50-year-old windows, and a large 42" custom-made front door. We interviewed/reviewed/solicited proposals from 8 different companies, ranging from the national Pella/Anderson brands, to very local/regional producers, to re-seller/installers like WOW. We chose WOW because 1) the reviews were phenomenal, 2) the experience with their estimator Greg from the get-go was very professional, as he always proved to be knowledgeable, responsive, and "going the extra mile" to meets our needs, 3) they didn't feel pushy or gimmicky, and 4) their product offering of OKNA windows, which based on our research is a very high value product compared to other vinyl windows. Ways in which WOW exceeded our expectations: 1) responded quickly to inquiries and questions, 2) made MANY revisions to our quotes as we often changed our minds, and without eye-rolling, 3) didn't have an overly cumbersome contract or warranty terms, 4) provided timeline updates constantly after we placed our order, as well as provided great/clear/consistent communications along each step of the process with easy payment processing, 5) delivered ahead of the promised timeline for both the windows and the door, 6) were very diligent to schedule installations quickly once they received product from the manufacturers, 7) did a VERY nice and professional job installing the windows and door. The flashing, framing, trim, woodwork, and fit is flawless! We are super happy with our OKNA windows and custom Provia door. $$$ If you're a bargain shopper or looking for a "best price", then this isn't your company. They certainly were not the cheapest company we reviewed, and more likely were almost the most expensive, however when we did an "apples to apples" VALUE comparison between the options, and when taking into account reputation/reviews and product offerings, they were a great deal and a no-brainer decision. I'm a very picky project/renovation planner, closely scrutinize service providers, and am hard to please, so this was a big Win for WOW! It has only been a month for windows and a week for the door, but we highly recommend them for your project! Big thanks to Greg, Dave, Eric, Yanique, Tanya, Becky, Gretchen, Joon, Young, and everyone else who helped along the way!
Overall, I can't endorse this company and the people I interacted with enough. I didn't have a single bad experience and I feel like the money we spent was an investment we will enjoy for decades to come. I also know that if something comes up down the road, Eric and his team will be there to help us out.
So this is going to be my first review online and I've decided to provide it because of both the size of the projects involved and the quality of service that I received. My family and I recently purchased a 45-year old fixer-upper in Northern Virginia, and the home needed major updates throughout. Two things that needed immediate attention were the original wood windows and the 30+ year old asphalt roof. After a referral from a co-worker, I reached out to Windows on Washington and spoke with Greg for help on the windows. He was very knowledgeable and answered all of our questions, without any pressure to commit on the spot. The windows they use are very well-reviewed (Okna) and offered all of the features we were looking for. His quote for the 40+ windows and one new door was incredibly reasonable and less than other quotes I received. Based on the stellar feedback I'd already received about the company, I agreed to enlist them for the project. Their crew arrived on-time and spent two days doing an exceptional job installing everything. I watched them do the installations and everything was top notch. The windows dramatically improved the look and energy efficiency of the house, and the entire team could not have been more professional. I would HIGHLY recommend this company to anyone if you need replacement windows. During the discussion with Greg about windows, I mentioned the need for a new roof, specifically a new metal roof. He indicated that their company could also handle that project since the president of the company (Eric Novotny) was very knowledgeable about those. I spoke with Eric a couple of days later and discovered that he is part of an expert industry panel for the Metal Roofing Alliance. We went over all the options for installing a metal roof and he came out to our house to talk at length about what we could do. He provided a quote for the project a couple of days later which was very reasonable based on the research I had done and I signed up for that as well. Interestingly, the roof project was completed first (before the windows) and his team spent three days completing everything. The crews worked 12+ hour days to get things done and the work was all top notch. It was beautiful when it was finished and our family couldn't be happier. As a follow up, two weeks after the roof was completed, I had a chimney cleaning / repair company come out to do some minor work. They ended up severely scratching all of the panels around the chimney in the process and I needed Eric's team to fix it. He sent two guys out and they spent 12+ hours carefully removing what they had just installed and replacing everything exactly the way it was. I expected the cost for the repair to be significant, but I was very surprised that not only was the cost reasonable, but some of the same crew that did the initial installation were available to come out and do the repairs. It was a very confidence-inspiring extra step and further reassures me that we went with the right company. Overall, I can't endorse this company and the people I interacted with enough. I didn't have a single bad experience and I feel like the money we spent was an investment we will enjoy for decades to come. I also know that if something comes up down the road, Eric and his team will be there to help us out. Bill S.
The installation went exactly as scheduled and when the crew left you couldn't tell they had been there except for my beautifully functional windows and door. I couldn't recommend them more highly.
I can't believe I waited so long. I just replaced 9 double hung windows and a sliding patio door and the dreaded mess didn't materialize. I interviewed 5 companies and the Windows on Washington proposal was the best for my purposes both in price and the quality of the Okna door and windows. The installation went exactly as scheduled and when the crew left you couldn't tell they had been there except for my beautifully functional windows and door. I couldn't recommend them more highly.
I hired Windows on Washington for attic insulation. I was very impressed by their professionalism and communication. They are extremely responsive on communications. I also was impressed by the quality of work performed. Everything was left very clean as well. The crew was very professional.

Special thanks go out to Zach, Becky, and Joon and the crew for taking the time to explain things to me where needed, and for being easy to work with. If you are looking to support a local company with great prices, a great warranty, and outstanding service I highly recommend Windows on Washington.
I needed to replace eight 20-year old windows on the front of my house and received two quotes that were close in price. WoW was the more affordable option, had great reviews, and provided a very knowledgeable consultant to work with. I began the process in May 2021, and final installation was completed in early October due long delays in the manufacture process I'm sure we're all familiar with by now. The installation crew arrived on the early side of the 1-hour window I was given, which I appreciated. The crew was polite, professional, and most of all very efficient. In just over 3 hours the crew had removed all my old windows, installed the new ones and they did a great job of cleaning up after themselves as well. Special thanks go out to Zach, Becky, and Joon and the crew for taking the time to explain things to me where needed, and for being easy to work with. If you are looking to support a local company with great prices, a great warranty, and outstanding service I highly recommend Windows on Washington.
I now understand that their greatest goal is customer satisfaction.. I am glad i gave them a second chance. Look forward to the next project with them.
I had initially given a very long review on my project with the team. However, i had a remarkable experience that have changed every negative opinion i have about them.
So i was called by Windows on Washington to discuss how i can be compensated by moving my projects to 2 weeks earlier. I did and the date was set.
When the door arrived and i found out that the colors didn't match my shutters...i was very disappointed but Windows on Washington offered to paint my shutters to match my doors, which was very exceptional. In few minutes, the team arrived my home doing exactly what they promised.
I now understand that their greatest goal is customer satisfaction.. I am glad i gave them a second chance. Look forward to the next project with them.
My experience with Windows on Washington and specifically Eric Novotny was the most professional I have ever had with a contractor.
My experience with Windows on Washington and specifically Eric Novotny was the most professional I have ever had with a contractor. Eric replied to a request for quotation / consultation that I put on houzz for some repairs I needed to my home's windows and ended up spending time with me via phone, text and email exchange to make sure I knew where to go to get the parts I needed and receive instructions on what turned out to be very minor repairs. He did this all free of charge. Eric never tried to sell me anything and followed-up with me as if I were his top customer. I would definitely recommend Windows on Washington for any windows replacement or repair project you may have.
After the job was completed to our satisfaction (the roof looks great) we received a very professional letter in the mail with referral cards should we be interested in recommending them to friends, etc. We were very impressed with WoW and would absolutely hire them to install our windows within the next couple of years.
We evaluated offers from several local and well-regarded roofing and window companies before ultimately choosing to go with Windows on Washington. Although we opted to only have our roof replaced - and not our windows - at this time - we would not hesitate to hire WoW again. In my opinion, the main factor that sets WoW apart from their competition is that their employees are very knowledgeable, skilled, and take their jobs seriously. We learned things about our roof, original windows, and suggestions/recommendations that no other contractor had bothered to notice or mention. For example, the WoW sales manager (Brandon) recommended that they install a cricket water divert-er around our chimney that has caused water leaks in the past. No other contractor had ever mentioned or suggested such a thing. When I researched the divert-er on my own time, I realized that it would very likely solve our problem for many years to come. We also felt that Brandon did not try to oversell or push upgrades to our roof or windows that were not really needed and communicated with us in a respectful and timely manner during the sales phase of our discussions. In addition, communication between sales, administrative, and project management staff was flawless and we received several emails and phone calls advising us on what would happen next, when our roof installation would be scheduled, and so forth. After the job was completed to our satisfaction (the roof looks great) we received a very professional letter in the mail with referral cards should we be interested in recommending them to friends, etc. We were very impressed with WoW and would absolutely hire them to install our windows within the next couple of years.
Top-notch company. From start to finish, the contacts were impressive and knowledgeable. The four man crew that installed the windows were excellent, cleaning up all debris. Our villa is quieter, and we can open our windows. Highly recommend!

Finally I have been in touch with Eric over the final invoice and let me say that I have never encountered any company that will work on the payment as much as Eric has. He went up and above the call of duty for us.
Where to begin? We started this process in May and interviewed 6 different ROOF Installers of the METAL STANDING SEAM ROOF. After paring them down to 2, I received a call from Eric of Windows on Washington, we had spoken before but I had forgotten. First I guess I should say what was planned. New METAL ROOF and the side porch and back porch railings installed, the side porch was done by another contractor. I won't go into the other companies, but will say they are in the surrounding area and the final 3 were are excellent in their estimates and explaining what was going on. When Eric came out for the estimate, I was blown away by his knowledge and his help. He brought up that the metal siding we had would end up looking bad against the Metal Roof. I said siding wasn't in the budget, but he gave me a great estimate so now it is, We then asked about windows seeing that we had 2 already replaced and 5 to go, I was hoping for 3 but again Eric gave me an excellent estimate so this project has grown to also including Shutters, Gutters, Downspouts and sealant on my Chimney! The material used for the roof was 24 gauge pacific blue by Englert and it looks great. Carlos and his crew worked to get a the 2 roofs off plus 3 roofs worth of nails. Amazing job they did. The roof turned out not to be plywood but 1x6 boards and a bunch had to be replaced. One area at the back door had been rotted out for years, long before we purchased the house in '09. I enjoyed watching the metal being cut to size and then locked in place by the little machine that moves up and down and locks the seams in place. The new Siding is a 100% improvement over the over metal siding and the windows and shutters all look great. Each crew that installed they work did so in a gracious and courteous manner. The Window crew made sure that all was cleaned up, the 5 windows were installed in less than 5 hours. Eric knows how this almost became a comedy or errors, with certain folks watching our every move, but all turned out great in the end. The final piece was dependant on Potomac Edison as the old Power service to the house was too close for comfort to install the final metal roof sheet. P.E. showed up as planned and worked with Eric and Carlos to get together to get it done. Let me say here that it is extremely hard to get Potomac ED or any Utility to be on time and to do so with the contractor. The final metal sheet was installed and the next Day P.E. even came back with 3 trucks and 7 workers to put in a new service to the house. A bit much I thought, but it didn't cost me anything! Finally I have been in touch with Eric over the final invoice and let me say that I have never encountered any company that will work on the payment as much as Eric has. He went up and above the call of duty for us. We are super satisfied with the cost of what I consider the largest rehab of any house we have ever owned. We have received an untold number of comments about the new roof and who installed it and so forth, so I believe Eric and his crew will return to WV sooner rather than later. The last day everyone pitched in to help clean up around the house and a fine job of cleaning they did. Each day they worked from Sunup to Sundown and I never heard a complaint. I must write about the one early morning when the roof was off and not covered as a huge series of thunderstorms approached the area. This was at 6:30am and I was getting a bit worried, when at 6:40am Carlos and his crew appeared like rescue workers and covered the roof before the storms hit and they were huge. That was something to watch and we were ever so thankful they showed up. Heavy Rain and NO roof is not a good combination. In closing I would recommend them in a heartbeat for any project and if anyone would like to see their work I have a complete history in photo's I took of my projects. Congratulation Windows on Washington, Eric and Carlos and the rest for an excellent job well done!
They were polite and very accommodating in where we wanted them to start. I would highly highly recommend this company to anyone looking into replacing your windows.
I was referred to this company by my neighbor and then by an HVAC technician, who came to my house. So, when it came time to replace my windows and doors I called Windows on Washington ( will be referred to as WoW) to get a quote. Greg Schwartz came out to my house as the sale representative, he was great, he was kind, sensitive and was a human being. He didn't pressure us to sign to get a sale. Greg came out two other times before we signed to have the work done. WoW came out three different times to remeasure each window to make sure the measurements were correct. The windows and doors are stock windows each one is individually made to the exact measurement. Once the Provia doors and Okna windows were ready, WoW called to set up an installation date for installation. The installers came my house and were there to install 54 windows and 4 doors. They were able to install the windows and doors in three days instead of the four originally planned. They were polite and very accommodating in where we wanted them to start. I would highly highly recommend this company to anyone looking into replacing your windows.

Call Windows on Washington and have Eric come by and prepare to be impressed with his understanding of the problem domain, his demonstrated experience, and the competent delivery of the work. I had a complex front door leak that I struggled to find someone who could provide a competent repair plan. This wasn't just a leaky door. There was an unknown source of the water that required advanced analysis of the installation, siding, framing, to determine the issue. After going through 5+ contractors it was immediately apparent that Eric really knew his stuff. His diagnosis was superior to the other companies who just essentially said "we'll install a new door, no worries". Eric knew each of the ways that water makes ingress into the home: via the roof above, from the siding next to the door, or following the "j-channel in the door framing, from below the door, etc. etc. The other contractors were focused on the door, not the leak mitigation, which was my objective. He remained focused on the problem I needed solving, not the front door he could sell me. The recommendation was to remove the siding around the door, and the door itself and the framing, with detailed explanations of why, and what would happen next. As well as install a gutter cover above the front door. The written work contract was also guaranteed to pass my leak test. Also I wanted to show you the new door I received, which was the secondary objective after the leak mitigation. It looks simply outstanding (see the picture). Windows on Washington also provides excellent warranty service. Once the mild winter set in, I noticed one day that the front door was leaking cold air. It turned out that the door needed a routine adjustment. Eric came by and quickly adjusted the door, showed me how he did it via the adjustment screws under the door, and left me instructions the next day in a detailed email: a) how to lubricate the door to make future adjustments more successful (i.e. allow a tight door seal whilst allowing the door to operate smoothly) b) how to clean the door properly (car wash materials) c) ** purchase links on Amazon with suggestions on what to buy for each of these areas ** Just. Wow.
In the end, I feel very confident that if any issues arise, WoW is going to completely take care of it. No dealing with the manufacturer, no second-guessing. This company went out of it's way to make me feel like I was getting white-glove service and I'm repaying the favor with this pretty long review. I hope it helps! I'm so glad I'm done.
I hope this 1000+ word review saves you pain. Because after negotiating with 12+ DC area window companies for months, Windows on Washington was completely painless. Let me tell you why: Here's what was important to me: **I wanted very insulating windows. I had old 1950's metal windows that leaked so much air, ice formed on the inside during the winter. We also had been scarred by some newer Andersen double hung windows that leaked air. **I wanted a very high level of installation quality. We already had some windows replaced a couple of years ago, and the windows clearly were leaking air around them. (poor caulk job) ** I wanted a guarantee that any problems would be taken care of. I was willing to pay a little bit more, to know that I could just call someone and they would take care of ANY problems, in an honest and swift manner. I didn't want to deal with the manufacturers. Deciding on Window Installers In the DC area there were 3-4 kinds of installers that kept coming up: National Players - Home Depot, Andersen, Thompson Local Installers - These are larger companies with multiple crews. This is what they do for a living. They tend to have preferred brands, so you'll have to take their advice with a grain of salt Roofing/Siding/Window teams - I liked a number of the companies I met, but they failed me in two areas: 1) When I asked them what percent of their jobs were windows, they often said less than half. I'm looking for teams that are well versed in window installation. I understand that doing 10 a year means your an expert. But if you're not doing 50 a year, then you might be a little rusty, or sloppy. 2) A lot of times these teams didn't have window experts (related to the above). They said their crews did it all, which made me concerned with their level of expertise Home Improvement - These are truly jack of all trades and do everything from countertops to doors to bathrooms to windows! I'm sure they could of done the job well, but they rarely offered me warranties on labor beyond 2 years and my biggest concern was that if something didn't go well, they would be painful to deal with since they wouldn't engage with the window manufacturer directly. As I mentioned earlier, I was looking for more white-glove service, so I definitely wanted a contractor that would handle any issues (condensation, cracked vinyl, leaky air, etc) I ended up with two front-runners: Quality Window and Door - I liked them a lot. Salesperson was honest, although a little slow at turning around revisions. Pricing was expensive, but they seemed like a high-quality shop. In the end, I just didn't trust the windows they were selling. Every time I read reviews on windows the salesperson suggested, I found lots of people with issues in the DC area with that brand and I ultimately hesitated. I also didn't find his suggestions on brands helpful. There was no "here are the Pros and here are the Cons". It was just "Here's what I think you should do." I feel bad. They spent quite a bit of time with me, but in the end, I didn't feel that I would end up with a high quality window. I decided on WINDOWS ON WASHINGTON? Why? They definitely weren't the cheapest, but they -Sold OKNAS (an amazing window, the air infiltration rate is out of this world, which means NO WINTER DRAFTS, the sun reflection is perfect and the locking system is incredibly smooth) -Offered a lifetime warranty on Windows and Labor -Did not have pushy sales people and did not try to upsell me -Were reasonable about considering other offers -Were confident and articulate in how they would deal with problems that might arise during and after the installation (again, I wanted full-service here) -Wanted to make sure I was happy and it felt like they had a reputation they wanted to maintain. WHAT I LOVED -The attention to detail was amazing. From laying down protective canvas, to carefully prying out my 50-year old windows without damaging the outdoor brick or indoor drywall. I didn't even need to paint afterwards. -The caulking and insulation job was top notch. Seamless application and done well. Most sealers won't consider that you need to use different caulk thicknesses depending on what part of the window you're sealing. It was obvious that the caulker from WoW used thinner caulk when needed and put wide caulk on when appropriate. Smooth as butter and looks perfect. -Boy did they vacuum. There wasn't a crumb of anything left anywhere when they left.

Just. Wow.
Are they the cheapest in town? No. But they are the best. If you want to buy windows and not have to worry about the installation, quality of the windows or lifetime issues around the windows...use these guys. Hands down.
Very very impressed. For anyone that wants a window company that does a top notch job, sells an excellent product, and doesn’t want to ever worry about any part of their window installation, this is the company to use in the DC area. For many of you, you probably started out like I did, looking for the best ‘value’, generally optimizing for price. The more and more I dug into WoW, the more I realized how horribly wrong things can go with getting the wrong type of window, choosing a mediocre manufacturer, and ending up with a subpar installation. My experience with WoW was none of these things. They sell a very high quality product, the OKNA 700s, gave me a lot of confidence they would fix any issues that arrive….for the next 20 years or more and did a picture perfect installation. From the detail on the caulking and insulation to making sure none of my drywall was damaged, I was incredibly impressed. Are they the cheapest in town? No. But they are the best. If you want to buy windows and not have to worry about the installation, quality of the windows or lifetime issues around the windows...use these guys. Hands down.
The highlight is the hands on survey, and analysis that Eric handles at a "pro's pro" level. Top to bottom, Eric approaches the entire house when addressing an issue. I learn more about how my house actually works in 20 minutes from him than hours with other contractors. How many project leads for your house projects can you learn five new words about the builder's trade in five minutes?
Over the years, for different jobs, whether replacement windows, temp/air flow/insulation solutions, tough leaks other contractors couldn't solve, or full demolition/install, there has been no problem or solution that Eric's team hasn't delivered on. I am somewhat demanding, make spreadsheets and lists, add post-install tests as requirements for the contracts, and follow up and care about schedule...this team doesn't blink. Success stories: 1. Zero issue window installations, with perfect site prep and cleanup. Window installations by this company are absolutely routine and done on regular cadence with no drama. 2. Basement leak, traced from the roof, to the gutters, up under and down the siding next to the front door, etc. And got fixed when other contractors could not. 3. High temps in guest room above garage, and high temps in second floor overall. Entire house "stack effect", insulation, garage insulation etc. plan implemented. Immediate impact in the guest room. Another roofing contractor remarked that they had never seen an attic insulated so well. 4. New front door. Zero issue carpentry/installation. 5. I'm probably forgetting a job or two.
He said he couldn't in good conscious leave them they way they were, and he didn't charge me a dime more than the originally quoted price! They also happened to be a Christian-owned company. I'll never bother even getting quotes from anyone else.I'd rather have the quality and honesty than a slightly cheaper price for a crap job.
If anyone in the DC area ever needs work done on their house (roof, siding, windows, etc.) I HIGHLY recommend Windows on Washington! They did my roof in 2013 and my second- and third-floor windows last month. Today they came to replace the wood, siding and trim around the first floor living room windows. They were installed so poorly (by Windowmaster when I was renting here), they redid all the trim, added insulation (there was NONE) and changed out all the hardware that holds the windows and trim in the house.
Overall, the improvements look great, have made my home quieter, and has tremendously improved my comfort. I am very happy with the final outcome and I would definitely recommend WoW for installing windows and doors.
Replacing windows and doors with WoW was a good experience with excellent installation. I needed to replace my home's deteriorating builder-grade products to improve comfort from drafts and the afternoon sun. I spent a long time researching which brands to replace, but since my needs were basic for a cookie-cutter home, I decided it was more important to find the best installers. WoW seemed to have some of the best reviews and they did not disappoint. Joon and his crew arrived knowing exactly what needs to be done and installed everything perfectly. They also cleaned up very well and Joon took the extra time to professionally inspect everything and demonstrate how to use and maintain all the new products. Another nice benefit was the aluminum trim capping, which now covers the existing wood trim and no longer needs painting. Just short of perfection, there was a mistake with my invoice order, but the company was very proactive about resolving the issue to my satisfaction. For those interested, I went with the Okna 500 Insul-Tec windows which are well constructed and seemed reasonably priced for their performance metrics. I also got them without vent latches, which I would never use and I think looks better without them, and also in triple-pane for the extra tint and insulation from the sun. The Okna sliding glass door and ProVia doors also look nice and operate very smoothly. Overall, the improvements look great, have made my home quieter, and has tremendously improved my comfort. I am very happy with the final outcome and I would definitely recommend WoW for installing windows and doors.
They kept my home clean and were very tidy with their products. They were friendly yet professional. Everyone in the company knows their job inside and out! There is no "passing the buck" here, just great service with folks who are very competent and polite. If only every other company would follow this format, they'd be very successful. Maria
WOW employees were all awesome from start to finish. Greg, the salesman set the tone with his professional yet friendly demeanor and knowledge of the products. He responded promptly to all questions and kept us abreast of the timeline for window delivery. He passed us off to the folks in the office who were equally professional and excellent with communication. The fellow who came out to measure for the windows was also very professional and did an excellent job being timely and speedy in his work. He even answered a question via text after he'd left the site. The installation crew did their best to minimize the intrusion in our home and were working in very windy, very cold weather. Whether or not you choose WoW for your windows, I highly recommend you contact them as one of your top resources for consideration of their product and their knowledge/information.
I highly recommend WoW for window replacement services - although I did not end up choosing them for my project. I called several companies to receive estimates for window replacement. Zach from WoW came out to review my project and provide an estimate for the job. He was totally professional and knowledgeable about all aspects of what I needed. He spent time thoroughly reviewing the windows and frames, answered all my questions, and provided very valuable information and advice on types and brands of windows. He did not talk other brands down but gave an informed comparison about what other brands offered vs. what his brand provided all without any pressure. His estimate was very competitive and for a very high quality window. After conducting exhaustive research on many different brands and types of windows, I found his product to be one of the best on the market. I did not choose it as I simply liked the appearance of a competitor's window. But it was a very close call as I traded off a higher quality window (what Zach was offering) for the appearance of a competitor's window. I also want to add that WoW has a great web site with such valuable information and its President, Eric Novotny actively participates in informational blogs as well. Whether or not you choose WoW for your windows, I highly recommend you contact them as one of your top resources for consideration of their product and their knowledge/information.
Top notch company, great home solutions, and white glove service at a great price.
Top notch company, great home solutions, and white glove service at a great price. We ordered a complete front door replacement system which included a number of pieces of glass sidelites and transoms. The door order, delivery, and installation was completely seamless. Their staff and installers are very professional, courteous, and sensitive to our needs and requirements. They are completely trustworthy and a company we'll work with again on other house projects. Thankyou Windows on Washington!
I recommend this company. From my understanding, they are a family business that feeds off of word-of-mouth. They have my stamp of approval.
I've had these windows for about a year now. I wanted to give them a full winter cycle before writing at a review. WOW was the third window company that gave me a consultation and it turns out that third time's a charm. The first company tried to give me a hard sell with over three hours of talking. He was a nice guy, but about 2 hours in, I realized I had a soothsayer on my hands. I spent so much quality time with the guy that I felt guilty not buying windows. I ended up giving him a Spiderman 3 DVD for wasting his time (no lie). The second company had quality windows, but they were just way too expensive. In comes Windows on Washington to save the day! Greg came in for a consultation and we instantly hit it off. We actually ended up hearing each other's life stories (no lie). The process wasn't exceptionally long and he was able to answer all my questions. From one Greg to another, I really enjoyed his professionalism and helpfulness. The windows from WOW are great quality at a great value. They give you two models to choose from. I got the less advanced model, and so far, so good. The windows are great on energy and easy to open and close with the fixtures. Before these windows, my bedroom would be so cold in the winter. It felt like I was practically sleeping outside some nights. Now, my room keeps a good temperature. The installation process was smooth. We had one little hiccup where they wrote down the wrong measurement and had to come back and do it a few weeks later, but everything else went smoothly. I recommend this company. From my understanding, they are a family business that feeds off of word-of-mouth. They have my stamp of approval.
Between my experience of getting good advice from Eric and the experience of others in this forum expressing their satisfaction, I would not hesitate to speak and meet with Eric to consider him for your project.
I called Eric and said that since I'm in the midwest, you probably can't work on my house project of new windows, siding, and doors. But would you mind if I ask you a few questions, mostly about windows and some questions about siding. Eric said you're right that I can't work on your project, but no problem about asking me questions. We spoke and emailed on several occasions, and Eric gave me substantial information with regard to my project, especially with the windows and patio door I was considering. I'm so impressed that a person who had no chance of landing my project would spend so much time answering my questions and helping me to get good products to meet my goals. Plus, Eric sounded very knowledgeable with all aspects of my project. Even as the project was being completed, Eric gave me suggestions on what to ask my installer to help ensure the installation would be done well and to my satisfaction. You'll need to look to other reviewers for their experience with Eric actually doing the installation. Eric is apparently of the philosophy that if you are low key, honest, provide excellent installation and service, your business will reap the rewards of happy customers and continuous referrals. More people in the house remodeling business should adopt this philosophy. Between my experience of getting good advice from Eric and the experience of others in this forum expressing their satisfaction, I would not hesitate to speak and meet with Eric to consider him for your project.
I would recommend this company to anyone looking for a hassle free experience with a quality company.
Quality company & products...
After talking to several contractors & reading more on-line reviews than I can remember, I contracted with Windows on Washington to replace the middle level windows & sliding glass door on our newly purchased 23 year old townhome. The price & quality of the product was better than anyone elses that we spoke with. The install was done in no time & the area was cleaned up after the work was complete. Had 1 issue with a seal on the inside kitchen window & they had someone out the next day to take care of it. Not only a quality product, but quality service as well. The entire staff returned calls promptly & gave information whenever I asked. We will definitely be using them again for the lower & upper levels, when we're ready to do those areas. I would recommend this company to anyone looking for a hassle free experience with a quality company.
What we loved most was that the crew was constantly measuring and adjusting so the doors would have the best fit possible. The company follows all COVID procedures and wore masks throughout the consultation and installation. I've posted before/after photos- we opted for the 'linen' frosted glass so there was still light but privacy with the outside door.
We are absolutely thrilled with our new garage doors! When we first moved into our current home, so much had been remodeled but the garage doors were original circa 1975 with single pane glass and insulation that had long been worn down and painted over. In the summer, with humid conditions, you could barely open the doors. Enter Windows on Washington! The on site consultation was smooth and easy! The communication from the office regarding the updates on our doors was clear and timely. Installation was a breeze- the crew was exceptionally neat and very careful with our home. As soon as Greg walked in, no pressure, informative, and clearly was "working" for business as opposed to trying to "trick us" into another sale. If you're in the market for new windows, go with WoW. You WON'T be sorry and it will be the best money you spent!!
Can't say enough about the transparency, professionalism, and quality of work from this company and its employees. From our initial consultation and assessment with Greg Schwartz to our installation lead by Young Kim, and everything in between with the office staff (Becky & Tanya), things could not have gone smoother. They gave us timely and informative updates through the process as our windows were being manufactured and when we got put on the installation schedule. The installation team themselves were extremely polite, professional and went out of their way to be careful with the outside landscaping and keeping the inside of the house clean. Young even notified us when he found issues with some of the existing window surrounds and steps the team would take to fix things. The difference with our new windows was immediately noticeable from the insulation and sound difference to the AC barely running with some of the already warm days. My wife and I cannot say enough about this company. It was a breath of fresh air dealing with them after getting several quotes from the other major competitors in the area and nationwide. Truth be told, it felt like dealing with the proverbial used car salesman when we were getting estimates from the other window companies. As soon as Greg walked in, no pressure, informative, and clearly was "working" for business as opposed to trying to "trick us" into another sale. If you're in the market for new windows, go with WoW. WOW did a fine job. We chose them because of their excellent reviews and because the offered a lower priced door (HGI) that was of equivalent quality to the industry standard door (PROVIA). Because they were short handed and in demand, when we signed with them in at the end of August, they told us to expect a 10-12 week wait for installation. They came out in the first week of November. With the wrong door. The re-scheduled for 2 weeks later; at that time I had recently been exposed to COVID and was under quarantine. The crew declined to come that day even if I offered to stay away from them--fair enough. The next time the were scheduled our installer got sick. Finally the 1st week in December my door was installed. The door looks great. The quality of the work is excellent except for a small problem with the screen door not quite closing right. It looks like they had to door some drilling work on the strike to get it to work, which is a bit unsightly. I was disappointed that the new interior door frame they installed was left raw--no paint. When I called them, the pointed to the section of my contract that said they would leave this in this condition. OK. They met their minimum. If I am paying $6000 for a door from a top quality vendor, I expect them to go above the minimum. So they cannot be expected to bring every possible paint color, but they could have offered to slap on a coat of my paint if I provided it. Note to Angie's list: there needs to be a middle choice for would you hire again. In this case I would not totally rule out WOW. But I would look for another contractor to see if I could get better service than what I experienced.
The crew from WoW were professional, on time, fast, and detailed
Outstanding job!!
The crew from WoW were professional, on time, fast, and detailed. They removed and replaced all of the windows in our home, plus a sliding glass door in one day. They were meticulous, paid attention to detail and cleaned up everything before leaving. I will recommend them to anyone who wants replacement windows.
For starters and for those who aren't aware of Eric, he is the owner of WoW and is one of the key contributors for the replacement window forum, the largest forum in the US for contractors and consumers to discuss window needs.
For starters and for those who aren't aware of Eric, he is the owner of WoW and is one of the key contributors for the replacement window forum, the largest forum in the US for contractors and consumers to discuss window needs. When I started my process of digging up information on windows, I had no idea where to start, who to go to, and what to do. This process was atrociously confusing even for a savvy consumer myself, especially where there is so much technical knowledge involved (e.g., U-factor, solar heat gain coefficient, virgin vinyl, etc.). Who and where would you go to get this information? For myself, the replacement window forum was one of the most important places where I was able to learn and get reaffirmation on key steps that I needed to understand throughout the buying and installation process. Eric and several other contributing members in the forum are some of the best experts in the nation and their honesty and transparency allow you to really help you understand the nuts and bolts of everything you need to know about windows. Long story short, they recommend fantastic products (well the best) for your money (such as Okna if you are going for vinyl). It's more expensive than your builder grade windows but digging through the forum, you'll learn why it's so important to buy good windows and what you should really look for. You don't want to go too cheap (e.g., HD or Lowe's) nor do you want to go too expensive (E.g., renewal by anderson which is largely a marketing gimmick). Where Eric and his team really shine are when you run into your situation specific problems during the entire window buying and install process. Trust me when I say this. You are going to run into SOME kind of problem and that answer will not readily "googleable". In this day and age where order wait times are more than 6 months because of supply chain issues and factories are screwing up left and right with orders, and contractors are messing up, you don't want to be left in the cold without a way to fix the problem. Moreover, you want honest contractors who can help you through. Once again, I reiterate this. You are MOST likely (if not almost guaranteed) to run into issues. If you think window buying experience is like an amazon one-click purchase you are so dead wrong. No matter how much Eric or any business owner tries to prevent issues, something is bound to go wrong. The question is, do you want someone who is honest, knowledgable, and willing to fix the issue on your side or do you want some slimeball who tries to avoid taking responsibility and gives you massive headache? With a 5 digit dollar puchase, you don't want to take this kind of risk and go with someone who is knowledgable and trustworthy like Eric. Normally, I would cringe when I see a few 1-3 star reviews but I wouldn't be bothered by them for WoW. They are overall at 4.5 star or more and in this day and age, I have yet to see any window install go correctly for the many folks who had their window installs done since the pandemic began. The most important factor is whether your contractor is trustworthy, knowledgable, and is willing to fix the issue. If you have any more questions about Eric, you should go on a search engine and look for his replacement window forum (not linking due to yelp rules). If you spend some time (which you should since it's a lot of money), you'll know what kind of a great person he is and what reputation he has built over the years.
I'm in the middle of purchasing windows myself and am going to use Windows on Washington in Chantilly. They receive excellent reviews all over the Internet as well as on Angie's List
I'm in the middle of purchasing windows myself and am going to use Windows on Washington in Chantilly. They receive excellent reviews all over the Internet as well as on Angie's List. The vinyl window they sell (Okna) is made by a company out of Pennsylvania, and is one of the most highly-rated vinyl windows on the market (read the reviews in the Houzz forums for Okna's 500 and 800 series). WoW also sells Marvin Windows, a high-end, vinyl-clad wood window. Whomever you choose, do NOT use Home Depot At-Home Services. Good products (Andersen, Simonton), but horrible installers.
I love my windows so much, I did not know one could love their windows before hah!
I am absolutely thrilled with our windows from WOW. From the initial consultation to the window measurements, I was impressed by the customer service and communication. I live in a condo and they understood the HOA rules and requesting variance for my frosted bathroom windows. I was advised of the window delivery timeframe given the supply chain issues and the windows were actually delivered at the shorter end of the timeframe. The team was wonderful about keeping me up to date on the expected delivery, what to expect during installation etc. The installation of my 12 new windows took about 8 hours and they were very professional and left my home in clean condition. I love my windows so much, I did not know one could love their windows before hah!
The summer after we had them installed, the house was much cooler because of these much MUCH improved windows.
We worked with Windows on Washington to replace the full floor to ceiling windows on the front of our 1950s era house. It was a huge job, and they had a lot of patience as I tried to decide a new'ish configuration for the new windows, as the openings were huge and we could have done anything imaginable. We went with fiberglass windows (as opposed to vinyl) for the structural strength. The house looks completely different. We went from old, ugly brown aluminum windows to fresh, almond color beautiful windows. They were easy to work with. The install crew works directly for the company, and are really great at what they do. Construction like this is an art, and they are great at it. They had to be creative as they pulled out the old windows down to the brick (with a huge opening in the front of our house for a bit!) and were skilled enough to find solutions when our older house didn't come as expected for certain issues. They really are fantastic. We shopped around, did our research, and found that these guys know the most about windows and what works. The summer after we had them installed, the house was much cooler because of these much MUCH improved windows.
There are not many people in business like that today. ERIC, bravo to you and your company! Thank you so much. If we needs windows, roofing, or any major exterior work, I know exactly where I am going. Thanks again.
We needed help purchasing screens for our windows, and called "Windows on Washington." Eric called me back in 20 minutes, and told me exactly what to do. He was not even going to get a penny out of this job because it was not the kind of job that his company does, but he spent 10 minutes with me on the phone telling me where to look for the window decal, how to contact the manufacturer, and the information to provide them with, so we could get our screen windows. There are not many people in business like that today. ERIC, bravo to you and your company! Thank you so much. If we needs windows, roofing, or any major exterior work, I know exactly where I am going. Thanks again.
We have special window quilts on our windows and they worked carefully around them to ensure they weren't damaged. I would highly recommend them to others.
It went excellent! The quality of the work and the installation itself was amazing. We have special window quilts on our windows and they worked carefully around them to ensure they weren't damaged. I would highly recommend them to others.
The crew are perfectionist. They made sure it was done right. I love my windows
They just installed my windows and 2 sliding glass doors. The crew are perfectionist. They made sure it was done right. I love my windows. They cleaned up afterwards like they never were here. I cannot say enough good things about this company. Interviewed several companies and so happy to have gone with them. Jay was our sales person and he went beyond selling and worked with our HOA fir approval. I highly recommend this company they give lifetime guarantee.
This was the only company that provided detailed options at my home which was critical in discussing comparison to current windows and stepping through some possible issues (wood rot, trimming siding, etc). Greg was very thorough in covering every feature.
Replaced 3 windows and a sliding glass door in preparation of a kitchen remodel. Sales: This was the only company that provided detailed options at my home which was critical in discussing comparison to current windows and stepping through some possible issues (wood rot, trimming siding, etc). Greg was very thorough in covering every feature. Install: Becky provided updates throughout the process and answered all of my questions to prepare for the installation. The checklists were helpful to prepare for the installation. The install team arrived on time and did not waste any time. All areas were clean and they discussed any changes, no matter how minor, before proceeding. This gave me the chance to use Azek in lieu of lumber for the bottom of the sliding glass door.
Pricing isn't the only thing that matters. There is a big difference in window quality between say Alside and Anderson. We got Okna windows from Windows on Washington.
Pricing isn't the only thing that matters. There is a big difference in window quality between say Alside and Anderson. We got Okna windows from Windows on Washington. They were more expensive than Window World but they run their own crews, install a great product (Okna) and back up their work. Do some research and you'll see that you lose on appearance and specs the cheaper you go. (https://www.buildwithrise.com/stories/window-metrics-101). Now we did talk with Renewal by Anderson and they were ridiculously expensive. We replaced Anderson builder grade (200 series) due to bad heat transfer and leakage. We did about 38 windows in our house. Windows on Washington is also local.
After a wonderful experience with replacing an old sagging bay window with a new picture window we knew sticking with WOW was the way to go! We highly recommend this company!
Had Windows on Washington install 2 new sliding glass doors replacing our old and drafty patio doors, and we are once again thrilled with the process and final result. Communication, value for money, and quality of work and product are all top notch. What they are is a place to get a reasonable price with outstanding quality and excellent customer service.
For those looking for the absolute cheapest place to get windows and siding no matter how good the reviews are for another company, then you can stop reading now. WOW is not the cheapest; in fact, they do not want to be known for being a bargain basement shop. What they are is a place to get a reasonable price with outstanding quality and excellent customer service. My project was quite large. Our house is now over 25 years old, and we are the 3rd owners. Unfortunately, we never replaced any windows, fixed almost no trim, and while our siding was in okay shape, the builder cheaped out and didn’t bother to put Tyvec on the house. So, our windows were allowing wind to literally blow around the edges, there was water visible between the panes of glass, and with a strong wind gust, we could feel wind blowing through the light switches and outlets since there was no wrapping on the house. Further, during the summer, the poor quality windows would allow the sun to pass right through the glass and guests would be sweating while sitting in our kitchen. It was long past time to replace everything, sadly we came to this decision post-Covid and prices are at least 30% higher than pre-Covid. We shopped 4 different places, one was 20% cheaper, one was well over 20% more (and didn’t even do siding) and the other was comparable. The cheaper place sold reasonable windows, but when I went and looked at a house they did, the trim wrapping looked terrible. If this was an example of something they wanted me to see, then I was pretty turned off. After talking with WOW, and reading their reviews, we decided they were the right ones to use. We replaced 28 windows with Okna high efficiency triple pane windows, 2 sliding glass Okna doors and one Provia French door. We replaced our old Vinyl siding, Tyvec wrapped around the entire hours, and swapped the siding to Alside’s Ascend Composite product, which has qualities of Hardie Plank that we liked, has a wood look to it, is insulated and is a bit lower cost (it's more than Vinyl). We also capped ALL of our wood trim, replaced all our gutters, and all our soffits. This was a big, big job. The biggest pain was waiting for things to arrive. This was not WOW fault, it is simply the Covid supply chain world we live in. Once things arrived, they were reasonable in setting up the installation dates. Windows and glass doors were done first. The crew was awesome. They were insanely fast. They basically had this done in about 2 days. That’s a tremendous amount of work in such a short time. The windows look great, although the slight green hue from Low-E is something you must get used to seeing. The Provia door had to be installed separately once it arrived. The biggest job was the siding, trim, etc. This was about a week’s worth of work. The crew arrived early, worked late, was courteous, and cleaned up each night. The gutters were installed a bit later – shockingly they bend and cut their own gutters using the metal to match the trim, so they coordinate perfectly. As the project came towards completion, there were a few issues we had to rectify. I worked with the owner, Eric, and everything was resolved to our satisfaction. In the end, when it came to final payment, there were some things we owed them for and some things they owed us for; Eric simply said let’s call it even. I wish other companies would realize how much better a customer feels with that type of treatment as opposed to arguing about a few dollars here or there. We and our neighbors love how our house looks. Several have already told us they are planning to use WOW when they go to upgrade. In fact, one of our neighbors already did their house with WOW based on our recommendation from just our interactions with the sales department. Their house also looks great. So, if you want a company selling high quality windows and siding, who can fix your trim, gutters, shutters, etc, etc and does an outstanding installation, then WOW is who you are looking to hire.
The team at Windows On Washington is absolutely awesome! I found them professional, very courteous, and experts in their trade.
The team at Windows On Washington is absolutely awesome! I found them professional, very courteous, and experts in their trade. One representative measured the exact dimensions of each window before even scheduling the work and ensured to explain the process in detail. The installation team was very respectful of my white carpet - used drop-cloths everywhere, and answered any questions I had. Eric, the owner of the company came by during the windows installation process of the new windows, to ensure my satisfaction. He also explained many more aspects of the windows themselves, their fabrication process, as well as the installation process I didn't even know to ask. I was very impressed by the team's meticulous attention to detail on all efforts, including the clean-up afterwards. They even vacuumed the common hallway for the building before leaving. I am very happy with my new windows and highly recommend Windows On Washington for their quality work and very competitive pricing. Sincerely, Lee V.
This helped immensely in making a responsible, informed decision. The best part is that I never felt like I was being sold anything. I was being helped. There is a HUGE difference. My home is my biggest asset, and Eric and Windows on Washington has been instrumental in helping me protect my investment. Thank you. Now if they would just start doing landscaping and taxes, I would be set. ;)
I recently contacted WoW for some maintenance/upgrades on my home. What a pleasant surprise! Everyone I had contact with from start to finish was extremely nice and knowledgeable. This is not usually the case in contractors and especially not in window, siding and roof replacement and repair. Let me give a little background info. I am a busy single parent, and I work way too many hours. Eating food that requires utensils is a big win for me most days, and so basic upkeep on my home is lax at best. (Sorry neighbors.) It finally got to the point that it was unavoidable, and I needed help with siding, roof, and windows. I began the painful process of setting up appointments to get estimates. I had a variety of experiences - rude/disinterested appointment scheduling, poor communication, estimators that were late, a no-show, and a one that was an hour EARLY and annoyed because I wasn't home. Granted there were a few that got it right. The prices and advice I got also ran the gamut. The siding is fine, the roof is going to cave any day. The roof is fine, the siding is bad. The only universal answer I got was that my windows were crap. (Yay, sort of?) The whole process is overwhelming. I don't know much about this stuff, and felt that I was at a huge disadvantage in knowing what to do. I had narrowed it down to 2, companies when a friend recommended Eric at Wow. I gave them a call, and am so glad I did. Eric was extremely knowledgeable and helpful, and never once tried to upsell or pressure me. He gave me my options and the prices for them, and his highest estimates were about the same as the other's lowest price. Not only that, but he explained HOW each option was priced - what I was actually getting for my $$. This helped immensely in making a responsible, informed decision. The best part is that I never felt like I was being sold anything. I was being helped. There is a HUGE difference. My home is my biggest asset, and Eric and Windows on Washington has been instrumental in helping me protect my investment. Thank you. Now if they would just start doing landscaping and taxes, I would be set. ;)
Quick, quality work
Quick, quality work
Windows on Washington replaced our garage doors and openers, and we couldn't be happier with the results. Our garage doors feature prominently when looking at our home and we are frequently getting comments on how nice our new doors look. Windows on Washington were quick, responsive, timely and professional. Their work is quality and well worth what we paid. I would not hesitate to use them again or recommend their work to anyone.
I have used WoW several times, including window replacement and garage door replacement. The quality of their work is exceptional and their staff is responsive, fair, friendly and knowledgable.
I found this firm on line without any prior experience with it. From the initial inquiry to the final installation, WW was courteous, professional, responsive, well educated about product and process as well as attentive to our concerns and questions.
I found this firm on line without any prior experience with it. From the initial inquiry to the final installation, WW was courteous, professional, responsive, well educated about product and process as well as attentive to our concerns and questions. Their OKNA product is thoughtfully designed; its features, particularly the exterior locking mechanism, are superior to any competing product and the price was below that of known name brand alternatives. This was perhaps the most satisfactory home improvement investment we have made in many years
Terrific experience. At the salesman's recommendation, I purchased a product different (and much less expensive) than the one I had been shopping and which has turned out to be exactly what I needed. The front office kept me informed of each upcoming step in the process, the installer was expert, prompt, and did a perfect job. I couldn't be more pleased with my experience. Highly recommend.
Absolutely fantastic company, world-class service. Great price. Good follow up afterwards when needed. Can’t recommend more highly.

Quite simply, Windows on Washington has been one of the top highlights of living in Northern Virginia.
Quite simply, Windows on Washington has been one of the top highlights of living in Northern Virginia. When we bought our home over two years ago we knew it was older(1971) and going to need some upgrades and repairs. WoW came highly recommended from our friends so we went with them for a chimney rebuild, windows, basement door repair, gutters and downspouts, and roofing. I'm not sure you will find a team of professionals who care more about their customers than they do. Eric, owner, personally knew all of our projects down to the minute detail and ensured they were completed to our satisfaction. It was impressive and reassuring. The guys who come to the house to do the work are super competent and timely(not so with all contractors in NOVA). Suffice it to say but for as long as I own a home here WoW will be my go-to company for absolutely every service they provide. They are that good and we're incredibly glad we found them. My HIGHEST recommendation.
All in all, the Okta windows are beautiful, high end looking (if you've seen cheap basic vinyl windows with reduced glass viewing area and junky trim then you know what I mean), fantastic and energy efficient, the trim job on the exterior of our house is wonderful and properly sealed on every single window. The new glass door is spectacular. We appreciated the flexibility of letting us handle demo for the door to save on costs Young was an awesome foreman and a true star employee. Scheduling was a bit tough, but they redeemed themselves by helping us swap out to a better door handle after the job for no cost. Great financing options We have been very happy the last 6 months with our new windows.
The team members were courteous and professional throughout the day, and the team leader was personally invested in providing quality service. I would highly recommend Windows on Washington to others considering replacing their windows.
I began my windows replacement project by contacting two bidders, both highly rated on Angie’s List. Windows on Washington helped me learn the terminology and, especially, what to look for in quality windows. I subsequently submitted a draft Statement of Work specifying the models and colors for the 17 windows. Their ensuing proposal captured all that I was after, and its price (with an Angie’s List discount) was comparable to that of their competitor. Both WoW and their competitor offer high quality windows, but not identical ones. Each window has its advantages over the other, and I ended up selecting WoW’s windows based on small differences that were important to me. (Other customers could easily come to the opposite decision depending on what’s important to them.) While there was some recurring pressure to set up a site visit, this was easily deflected until I had made my decision on which windows to purchase. Having selected the windows and thereby the provider, the site visit and consummating a contract were merely procedural steps. Installation was uneventful and took about six hours. I would highly recommend Windows on Washington to others considering replacing their windows.
We would also like to recognize Greg for his outstanding assistance during the selection and purchase process. Greg's thorough discussion of the Okna window construction, energy efficiency, and quality sold us on the Okna windows. Greg's discussion of his experience with Windows on Washington and its mission to ensure customer satisfaction sold us on Windows on Washington.
We love the new Okna windows! They look great both inside and outside and work with ease! They are exactly what we wanted! Jose, Juan and Donald were outstanding in installing the windows! They took extreme care to ensure a perfect fit for each of the 13 windows! They also took care to ensure the house, including the outside, was clear of all debris before they departed. Jose asked me several times throughout the day to let him know whether we had any concerns or questions about the installation. We couldn't be more pleased with the Okna windows and the installation process!

I don't typically write reviews etc... but because I was able to actually measure the difference myself I felt compelled to do this.
The results proved it
Had Windows on Washington come to our house to deal with a temperature problem (we have a 1st floor master bedroom that was consistently hotter than the rest of the house in the summer and colder in the winter). They came out with an infrared camera and showed me exactly where the hotspots where (pretty amazing to see it for myself). They gave us an estimate, were here when they said they would be, the crew was professional, and when they were done it measured the temp by the register, and compared it to the temp in the master, and they were off by .1 fahrenheit. I don't typically write reviews etc... but because I was able to actually measure the difference myself I felt compelled to do this.
At the end the lead took us to each window to make sure we were happy with installation, insulation, finishing, and clean up. I can't recommend them enough. The windows have made a massive difference already. Very happy with Windows on Washington.
