1.  Myth: I should buy the least expensive windows available because I plan to move in a few years and I will not realize the savings associated with the better products in such a short time.
Truth:  Homeowners are often fearful of overspending on a window replacement project if they intend to sell their home within the next few years.  The rationalization of this thought process is that they will not recoup the added expense of the more efficient and higher quality product (in energy savings) over such a short time.  While the additional Return on Investment (ROI) may not be realized solely in additional energy savings, that is not the only factor that comes into play.  There is a quality of materials aspect of this decision that must be considered.   Potential homebuyers recognize and appreciate quality materials as evidenced by studies demonstrating that a high quality window replacement has a very strong ROI at resale.
