The homeowner for this door project, chose to replace their inoperable builder grade door with a new Okna Elegante sliding glass door. We insulated the opening with foam to stop air infiltration, thus improving the energy efficiency of the home. We also installed flexible sill pan flashing to protect against water damage. This technique diverts any water that may get behind the sheathing back to the outside of the exterior siding. This will prevent any possible water damage in the future, including wood rot.
