What is cellulose?

Cellulose is one of the most effective forms of loose-fill insulation.

Cellulose is one of the most effective forms of loose-fill insulation (insulation is what keeps your home warm in the winter and cool in the summer.) There is a range of reasons why cellulose is effective loose-fill insulation, the first being its higher density properties per cubic foot. The high density of cellulose is what largely eliminates any convection (airflow) issues and offers a much more accurate R-value per inch. While cellulose loose-fill insulation is more expensive than blown fiberglass insulation, the energy savings with the higher actual realized R-Value helps balance out your initial investment over time, while helping to maintain a high level of comfort in your home throughout the year.
